My daughter has started learning chess here from 5 years old. She loves their chess classes and summer camp so much. I'm very glad that I chose here and met Coach Kiki. Her personalized teaching style and enthusiasm towards Chess incredibly impact my daughter on her chess skills and overall understanding of the game. She makes the classes playful and engaging for kids. Her ability to break down complex concepts into digestible lessons has been pretty instrumental in every beginner's growth. And all their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Their encouragement, guidance and support not only helped my daughter improve her skills but also ignited a deeper passion for Chess. Through this period of learning chess, I can feel how chess helps children exercise their thinking, broaden their horizons, and enrich their friendships. I believe this will have a profound and positive impact on my daughter's growth. As her strong request, we've also registered for the summer camp this summer. We hope she can have an immersive Chess learning experience. Besides, the tournaments here are well-organized and the competition is fierce, making every game exciting. Here you can meet top national and even world-class chess enthusiasts. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, you'll find the appropriate lessons to improve skills or simply enjoy a good game of chess in a great environment. So I highly recommend King's Land Chess.

Kings Land Chess provides an amazing learning opportunity for kids. Coach Kiki is a great mentor for the kids, is very transparent with parents and provides honest feedback on kids progress. My son has been with KLC for more than an year now and he absolutely loves and looks forward to the chess sessions every week. It's rewarding to see his progression under Coach Kiki's guidance. The entire staff is always supportive and quick to respond. The USCF rated tournaments are well planned and conducted. Highly recommend this place for young chess enthusiasts!!

As a parent of a 10-year-old who temporarily stepped away from chess during the pandemic, King's Land Chess Academy (KLC) has been a revelation. Resuming last summer, we've seen a dramatic turnaround in his skill and enthusiasm, thanks to KLC's structured and professional approach. What truly stands out at KLC is the GATE program, aimed at nurturing serious talents. This program, along with the promise that students regularly advance to national teams, inspired us and my son alike. The blend of group lessons, private coaching, and competitive opportunities under FIDE-certified coaches has not only brought back his love for chess but has transformed it into a deep-seated passion. KLC's commitment to developing young minds extends beyond chess skills; it fosters critical thinking, discipline, and problem-solving abilities. Witnessing my son's journey from disinterest to becoming a passionate and improving player in such a short period is a testament to KLC's effective methodology and supportive environment. For families seeking to ignite or rekindle their child's chess journey, King's Land Chess Academy is an unparalleled choice. It's more than an academy; it's a community where young players thrive.

My daughter started to study at KLC since she was in Kindergarten back to 2017. Now she's a 6th grader and still playing chess. Miss Kiki is a very dynamic and patient coach. She loves her chess kids. Her classes are full of joyfulness and real chess knowledge. KLC offers classes at every level. If you want your child to learn chess or pursue for higher level, KLC will be definitely your first choice.

She made the chess learning fun while using a very progressive system. Classroom is clean with good setting. Multiple sessions to choose to fit people’s busy schedules. I recommend this place to all east bay families who want to learn Chess.
