Our first martial arts experience in Grove and Wantage area. Fantastic family run business but so fucced on training and ethos of karate is self defense. It instils a very good foundation in any child/adult when it comes to facing crime or similar situation. Would highly highly recommend this for self defense karate. All sensais and senpais are amazing and great role models. Thank you GMA for everything 🙏

This is a truly special place to train: excellent depth of knowledge in the whole instructor team; authentic self defence in a truly practical context; brilliant karate teaching which is both fun and functional; inclusive and positive atmosphere and inspirational teaching. Highly recommended.

My son joined Grove Martial Arts when he turned 4. He is so excited to go every Saturday morning to learn something new and have fun at the same time. We can also take him to sessions throughout the week for no additional cost which is a bonus! The team at Grove Martial Arts are so friendly and welcoming and really take the time to make sure your child gets the most out of the session.

GMA (adults) and GMA Juniors are both brilliant.
I've been a GMA member for over 8 years and I love it. There are traditional martial arts clubs that are great for their art but not all that great with respect to holistic self-rotection; at GMA the principals of traditional karate and modern violence management/de-escalation techniques are combined to develop the full package. I've noticed a profound difference in myself (complete system upgrade! lol)
GMA Juniors - My 5 year old son has been training for a few months and he's loved every session. The instructors really get the best of him and he's really starting to focus and listen a lot more. He loves learning his first kata. He's got all his beginner stripes for the basic skills and got Student of the Week! I'm so proud of him.

This is by far the BEST club my 6 year old has ever done. He concentrates (more than I have EVER seen before), takes it seriously and has fun at the same time. He continually asks me if it is Karate day! The instructors are fantastic and he loves working towards new belts. It is also fantastic value for money as you can go 1,2,3 or 4 times a week all for the same price! Honestly, I would 100 per cent recommend to anyone. I am SO pleased he did his trial. If you are considering it, go and have a go as I am pretty sure you won’t regret it.
