I was looking for a good welcoming place for tennis in LA and was able to get into the group lessons for a week, while visiting the city. Wendy at the front desk, made registering online for guests easy and I got some very good play for the days I was visiting the city. Make sure you pre-plan but they are welcoming to out of town players, and I made some good connections here. This is non-intimidating and a great find in the city. The courts are very well kept and lit.

Fantastic place to play tennis. The courts are well maintained and there is an attendant on duty most of the time. You can make bookings for court time online - the reservation system is a bit convoluted but it works. Parking is super convenient. Flood lighting in the evening.

Plenty of courts, well maintained, beautiful park, plenty of free parking, separated courts with high fences(no balls flying from court to court), programs and lessons for all ages, tennis walls to hit off, affordable court rental. Even tennis prima donnas who always complain about the courts will have a tough time complaining about Cheviot Hills.

The lights are good, weekends are usually busy so I suggest to all players to book ahead of time but after 6pm the courts are free.
