My nine year old son has been receiving chess instruction from Dr. Davis for a few months now. He is very informative and organized. Dr. Davis is extremely knowledgeable about the game of chess. He shares information about the history and top chess players as well as ask what his student is interested in to get to know them better. He is also putting in a lot of extra effort to help my overactive son learn to slow down and focus more which is greatly appreciated!

Dr. Davis is a highly effective instructor. His wealth of knowledge in all aspects of the game of chess combined with his teaching style make it very easy to learn. He provides an incredible amount of information, but is also in constant contact with his students to ensure that they are not being overwhelmed. It is very easy to see that he has a passion for both the game of chess, and for teaching. I cannot recommend Dr. Davis' training enough!

An outstanding chess instructor! His teaching is clear and thorough. Dr. Davis is very well organized and complete in his teaching of chess. He is patient with all his students, especially the young players and works hard to help them learn and enjoy playing chess. He makes sure the student knows the material before moving on to another facet of chess.

Dr. Davis is a very passionate chess player and coach with plenty of great advice. His tuition is well structured and appropriately paced and is always on hand to help with questions, tactics and game play. Benjamin has been under his guiding wing since early 2019 and has adopted a less impatient and well planned game strategy. We thank Dr. Davis and will always recall "what are the other candidate moves..."
