Out of curiosity for Pickleball, I signed up for 5 weeks beginner clinic during February/March 2024 at Maywood Tennis Club. The venue is easily accessible from Rt. 17 or local roads, have plenty of parking, and very clean. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. If you miss a class, they will make it up at the first available time which is suitable to your schedule.
The clinics were capped at maximum 8 participants. There were always two professional instructors, meaning that there was 1/4 ratio. The cost is amazingly reasonable, in fact, many times cheaper than local town run amateurish recreational programs. Coach Nick and Marv are amazing. They explain and demonstrated every skill they teach, then, it is your turn to practice with real time feedback. There is also a big bonus; having lots of fun, being active and making new friends.
I recommended this program to five of my friend and family members. We were all satisfied and happy to attend. Give it a try, you will not be sorry!

This is a review of a pickleball tournament we recently played in. It was unfortunately fairly disorganized on a number of fronts. When we showed up there were no balls to warm up with (was told to use my own). The way they ran the games was confusing (assigned the same team number across multiple brackets making it hard to understand which team was playing). The bracket was set with 7 games, and instead of playing all games they just stopped after a hour and had a championship game. So the teams did not all play each other. We had a bye the first round so only played 4 games in the entire tournament! We have played several tournaments elsewhere, and this one was by far the weakest we have played. I did try to send feedback in advance before writing a review but received no response. There way better value for your money out there (we play Premier and Bergen Pickleball Zone)!! Hopefully Maywood will get serious about pickleball and provide a competitive offering for what they are charging.

Have to say we LOVE it here, never have any scheduling problems and the upgrades through out the facility has been a fantastic touch. Shout out to Coach David, he’s great!

Very bad experience scheduling makeup classes for kids in clinics - they don’t give you any slots that work for you and keep you waiting till the session expires. Classes are expensive and the management inflexible. We have been going for 5 years and loved it BUT in the last year there has been a major decline in customer experience from the management.

The best tennis club in Bergen County. It has clinics and classes from beginner's level to advanced level for all ages. Seven full-sized indoor courts. The tuition is even cheaper than others in Bergen County such as Edgewater, NJ. Some of coaches are former tennis players who competed at the Olympic Games.
I strongly recommend this club when your kids or yourself start playing tennis.
