The main room at Toby Katz Community Center, where the West Orange CC meets, is a very comfortable place to play tournament chess. Its main room is large & well-lit. There is also a good-sized skittles/analysis room but it is rather dark & mostly has round tables.
Club President John Hagerty is a gracious host & usually has coffee + donuts or cookies available for members and visitors. NM Andy Chan is often on-hand to offer instruction/advice. Webmaster/Secretary Ari Minkov & John Bonnett will, in their unique, colorful ways, keep you entertained.
I'd like to see the club offer some other time controls & start at 7:30. Their staple G/100 d5 & G/90 inc 29 are far too long to begin at 8 p.m. & the G/30 they've tried is too damned fast.
One more thing: The town should upgrade the bathroom.

Always a game available, frequent matches and tournaments from 120 min regular to 5 min blitz. Nice facility run by town of W. Orange.

Excellent place to socialize and play chess. They organize rated tournaments if you are interested. I can also play friendly games. I do recommend this club.
